The Croatian-Norwegian
GeoInformation Project Phase I (CRONO GIP I) was undertaken from
June 2002 to June 2003 in Zagreb, Croatia. Main clients were State
Geodetic Administration (SGA) and Croatian Geodetic Institute (CGI).
The Croatian-Norwegian GeoInformation
Project Phase II (CRONO GIP II) was undertaken from January 2003 to
September 2003 in Zagreb, Croatia. Main clients were State Geodetic
Administration (SGI) and Croatian Geodetic Institute (CGI).

Main clients were State
Geodetic Administration (SGI) and Croatian Geodetic Institute (CGI).
SGA is the Croatian agency for
cadastre and mapping. Among others responsible for establishment and
maintenance of topographic data (TD) produced from aerial photos in
1:20,000 and the TK 25 map series scale 1:25,000 derived from TD.
CGI is responsible for special
geodetic measurements (e.g. gravity measurements) and quality
control of deliveries from private companies contracted by SGA for
production of topographic data and orthophtos. |
Tasks:
CRONO GIP I:

Establish a Topographic Database in SGA for
storage of 1:25,000 map data and orthophotos.

Upgrade the current 1:25,000 map data for use in
GIS
-
Establish a capacity within CGI to undertake
Quality Control of the Topographic Maps and Orthophotos delivered from
private companies. Enhance the capabilities of
CGI to develop regulations and standards regarding procedures for
quality assurance in private companies.

GeoInformation
